Characterized by traditional long, fluid strokes that promote relaxation, improving circulation over time and assisting the lymph system to improve the immune system function.
Deep Tissue Massage
Techniques used specifically to restore motion and flexibility to strained or injured muscle tissue. Work is deeper than Swedish massage with the intention to address specific areas.
Myofascial Release (MFR)
Working with the fascia layer of tissue (connective tissue below the skin), myofascial release can help with tissue restrictions (caused by stress or strain), whereby improving posture and range of motion. Chronic pain and adhesions from surgery can also be addressed through the use of MFR.
Jin Shin Do
Involved the application of pressure (acupressure) along pathways, lasting from one to five minutes and applied to acupoints to reduce physical and emotional stress. This method incorporates breathing exercises with Taoist philosophy.
